Workforce Development, working contiguously with the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Economic Development, is charged with analyzing local employer’s needs, comparing these needs to all existing programs and making recommendations to the Chamber Board in order to maximize the North Texas area’s workforce to current and prospective employers. Currently, the main projects included investigation and assessment of a community daycare for working families in North Texas, maximizing and articulating the ongoing results of the North Texas Employer survey (
www.wfemployers.com) and strategically investigating state and federal programs to encourage skill training encouraging regional economic development.
